We are asking for prayer as we go to Zambia and visit with many people in many areas of the country. We know that God already has a plan for us greater than the one we know. Pray for the people of Zambia and for their desire to grow in a relationship with our Jesus. It is that relationship that brings the blessings, healings, and hope each of us needs in our lives; Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit. Let us also pray for each other that we all may be one in Him and with each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.
October 5th: Today we are in Newark, NJ (EWR) preparing for our flight to the continent of Africa. Will land in Togo (LFW – western side of Africa) to fuel up the plane at 11:50am on Oct. 6th. From there we will be flying to Ethiopia (ADD) and changing planes. We will then fly to Tanzania (DAR) arriving at 3:10am and will get to enjoy a 10 hour and 50 minute layover! Hahaha! But after that we will fly from there to land in Lusaka at 3:20pm on Tuesday the 7th. It will be 8:20am for all of you when we land in Lusaka (LUN). Zambia is 7 hours ahead of those of us in Wisconsin’s Central Time Zone.

On the 8th we will be visiting Dr. Kalembo’s New Kenyama church! We will also be visiting some others churches that day. I cannot wait to see the completed building and to meet many of the students there.

On the 9th we will be going to Mazabuka for the Women’s Conference that will be the 10th through the 12th of October.

On the 13th we will be going to Zimba (African Wesleyan University College) making one stop to visit Pastor Paul in Jembo where there is a church, school, medical clinic and more that I visited in 2023.

We have been in Zimba a couple of days now and are leaving for Livingstone tomorrow. In Zimba we have been able to see the entire clinic and the eye clinic! In 2023 the hospital did not have all open the day I visited. So this time we saw all of the facilities. The best part on this 95 degree day was visiting the library. It had Air Conditioning. Yes, we all sat in there for a bit! But to be honest, being able to see the new pediatric and NICU areas in the hospital were good. Much needed as well. We were able to spend time with the Eye Clinic and saw some of the things our church has given to them. Here are pictures from the clinics.

They have used the eye surgery kits for their numerous surgeries and are grateful for all that came their way. This clinic is considered one of the top eye surgery and eye care clinics in the country. People come from miles away to visit this small unassuming building that simply says Eye Clinic. More pictures of the eye clinic and the hospital are coming.
There is a maternity wing, urgent care, surgery theater, burn unit, NICU, pediatric wing, mother’s center for new but healthy mothers, a men’s unit and a women’s unit for care, and a physical therapy unit with 6 physical therapists. They also have an imaging center with a brand new (still waiting for government approval to use) X-ray machine, and an UltraSound machine that is used primarily on pregnant women. They have also begun an Environmental Health unit that goes into the communities to teach basic health and hygiene practices to fight common diseases, they go into the grocery and butcher shops to ensure safe meat handling and storage to preserve the health of foods, and they also report to the government needs within communities that will help to increase the health of the people. This tiny city of Zimba is a very important one in the lives of thousands of people. It is amazing how much of an impact the items we sent have here. Please continue to pray for Zimba and its hospital and clinics.
Livingstone, Zambia:

October 17, 2025: Jonathan enjoying Hungry Lion fried chicken and vanilla ice cream in Zambia. It has been a number of days in 93-97 degree weather. Today was 97 degrees and we were all hot. We spent the day with the Hachandi family and took them out with us to Hungry Lion. They are the family that took care of me back in 2023! They are well and it was a beautiful time of fellowship! I will be preaching on Sunday (10/19/2025) at our Partner Church, Mount Zion Pilgrim Wesleyan Church.

Daily Musings:
Bright and early in the 7th in Tanzania. We have been here since a little after 3:00am. We are strengthened by prayers but we have been up over 30 hours now with some dozing here and there. We have had some silly conversations when our brains were rebelling due to our need for sleep! Hahaha!🤣
We ate at a little restaurant this morning called “The Flying Pan.” Inexpensive and totally nummy breakfast.

On the 3rd: In Chicago, the Lord led us to two people! They were in need of some love and prayer. We were able to give both. Prayers went up for a man named Roderick and an elderly woman named Mary!
We are waiting for our boarding time to come in a few more hours – just watching for planes to land…

Morning of the 8th: we had breakfast here at the Best Western hotel here in Lusaka Zambia. We are awaiting our driver, Kelvin, and he will take us to Dr Kalembo’s New Kenyama church that is completed in being built. I’ll put that picture next to the one from 2023 that shown above.
We slept 13 hours and I feel great! Jonathan thinks he will need another day or two. Thank you for your continued prayers! Here is a picture from the hotel window.

October 15th 2025: The last couple of days we have experienced on and off electricity, mid-90’s for temperatures, beautiful and bright sunshine (my hair is turning blonde), and the opportunity to meet many men, women, and young people. We have been invited to attend Zimba Hospital’s morning prayer meeting. We went this morning and were blessed by the hearts of the nursing students and the staff that were there.
Today we were also blessed by Bishop Siachitema who took us on a tour of his childhood as he grew up in Zimba. He and Jonathan have really kicked off a great friendship.
