Uplifting Zambia – Sea Container Projects
Our heart is to serve the Lord by listening and responding to the Holy Spirit as He leads us in serving our brothers and sisters in Christ, in Zambia.
It has been amazing to watch God fill these sea containers through so many wonderful people across our nation. Local friends and church members along with people we have never even met, but who were inspired by God to give.
Thank you Lord for being faithful once again! Thank you to all who gave so generously gifts of time, talents, prayers, finances and gifts!

Blessings of Medical Supplies, Medical Furniture, College Supplies/Furniture/Tools/Gardening Equipment/and more, clothing, blankets, shoes, buckets, prescription bottles, boxes of metal folding chairs, and so much more are in the Sea Container. Not to mentions the Bibles, School Books, Theology Books, school curriculum for elementary, and many other books to help people as they grow in their relationships with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Sharing God’s blessings with world in need.
BLESSINGS OF: 2024 Sea Container # 11
It has been amazing to see how various medical offices, people, teachers began to call with donations from local clinics and colleges. They desired these to go to the existing clinics and new college that is being built even now in Zimba. An example of the donations was from an eye clinic in Wisconsin Rapids that donated eye testing equipment, surgical implements, and medical equipment. Others have sent textbooks from nursing programs in the USA, CPR Dolls to practice those skills, medical beds, wheelchairs, etc. We have also received textbooks for the Theology programs that will be in the new college. Clothing, shoes, coats, buckets, etc. have also been sent in large amounts. There is so much more, but this is enough to show the favor of God upon the Sea Container and the people its contents will impact for His glory!
2023 Sea Container #10
- New Bicycles for Pastors. We were able to get all 44 new bikes! So many donations! And now: The Bikes are loaded onto the Sea Container! We were able to send 28 brand new-in-the-box bikes and 5 gently used ones. We had so many unexpected blessings for this Sea Container that the rest of the bikes will need to be sent out on Sea Container #11!
We have completed loading the Sea Container with:

- We have loaded many Bibles which are in high demand.
- Buckets with lids are also in great demand and have been loaded.

About Uplifting Zambia Mission:
We hope you enjoy this video that gives you a bit of an inside peak of the process on our end! God has knit the hearts of Baker Street with Dr. Alfred Kalembo and the people of the Wesleyan Church in Zambia, Africa. We collect compassion supplies and fill a 40’ X 8’ X 8’ sea container that is sent there at least once each year.
Through a God-ordained partnership with other Christians in the Midwest that pay for the sea container and the shipping cost, and the generous donations from individuals and organizations in the community, we are able to send learning materials for the schools, medical supplies for the hospital at Zimba and the rural health clinics, and supplies for the local churches, pastors, and families.
It is a goal of this project to invite and welcome the communities of central Wisconsin to partner with us and uplift the people of Zambia with compassion goods. Among the most popular items are chairs, blankets, containers, clothing, and medical supplies.
This Ministry is Growing!
BSW has begun a new partnership with Africa Wesleyan University College in Zimba, Zambia. We have joined Dr. Henry Smith, who is good friends with Dr. Kalembo, in his mission to build this university and serve the people of Zambia and many other countries on the continent of Africa.
Dr. Kalembo and Dr. Smith below:

The university will begin with three courses of study: Nursing, Teachers, and Theology.
Our Assistant Pastor of Discipleship, Pastor Carri Johnson, will be going to Zambia this coming July 2023. She will be spending time with Dr. Smith and assessing what kind of teams are needed in Zimba. She will also be spending time with Dr. Kalembo up in Lusaka to assess what kind of teams are needed there. It is her heart’s desire to listen to Holy Spirit’s leading as she begins to build teams to go next summer, 2024.

Dr Alfred Kalembo, Pastor Carri Johnson, and Muumbe Kalembo. The Kalembo’s came to visit us at BSW a couple of years ago and it was wonderful to get to meet with them again.
Pastor Carri also renewed her acquaintance with them as she had met them years ago in Battle Creek, MI at Woodland Church. She is looking forward to spending time with them when she goes to Zambia July 2023.

What a joy it was to have Dr Smith share his heart, vision, and passion for building the African Wesleyan University College. What a blessing to have him visit us!
